Radiator Question: Why do you
run different radiators on your team bikes, i have damaged one of the
rads on my 250 KTM EXC and
would i be better fitting the
rads you use.
Answer:
We use "High Efficiency Rads" supplied by Hardcore racing, they are
much bigger and stronger than stock, keeping the motor cool is very important to keep the bike
reliable but also to make good
engine power, we modify our engines and therefore they produce more power and heat so the big rads just
help to keep things under
control without the need for a fan, when a engine overheats it
loses
horsepower. Yes these radiators are much better quality
than standard and if you ride in very muddy conditions or extreme
events then you should definatly consider fitting a pair of these
rads, but you can only fit them as a pair as they use a different
water
hose layout than the std KTM. With our radiators the pipes
do not go into the frame they have external hoses and a Y piece joint.
